Years ago anything pink was immediately considered as girlie, tacky or cheesy, especially when it came to gadgets. More the more high tech end of gadgets pink was a colour that was rarely seen but available almost on special request or special edition.
Today however, seeing pink handsets, TVs, ipods etc is commonplace. Just about every single mobile phone manufacturer produces a pink mobile phone, if not in various shades of pink. It can therefore be seen that the growing trend and demand for pink mobiles has not only been acknowledged but also given some degree of importance. Colours such as baby pink, bubblegum pink, hot pink, pale pink, pink with diamantes, pink with glitter are all the rage and currently readily available on the mobile phone market.
Pink mobile phones are mainly bought as a fashion statement and/or accessory. Glamour models, footballers wives, pop stars are just some, to name a few, who have set the trend for a pink mobile phone. School girls, young female professionals, hairdressers and even mums will choose a pink mobile phone over a silver or black one. In fact it can even be said that pink is now the new black.
In addition market research studies have shown that the most frequently searched-for gadget online is indeed a pink mobile phone and sales have increased dramatically from the previous year’s figures.
Features of a pink mobile phone are identical to its silver, black or even white cousins. The only thing which actually distinguishes a pink mobile phone from the any other mobile phone is just that; the fact that it is pink.
